A stronger, more diverse and independent community sector
Community sector organisations like Inclusion Australia and our state member organisations are very important.
They represent communities who are experiencing disadvantage and make sure that people who don’t have many opportunities to share their experiences with government get a voice.
The Australian Government wants to better support Australian communities through a stronger, more diverse and independent community sector.
The government is looking for ways to make more meaningful working partnerships with community sector organisations, including new ways of funding the sector.
The government wrote an Issues Paper talking about what it has already heard about the challenges community organisations can face.
They asked for feedback from organisations to help the government make a plan for how to better support the community sector.
