National Advocacy Collective: The Australian Government response to the Disability Royal Commission

The National Advocacy Collective (NAC) is a group of people across Australia who support the rights of parents with an intellectual disability. Inclusion Australia supports the group to do their work in different ways.

There are lots of barriers for parents with an intellectual disability in different systems and parts of the community. The NAC works with governments to make positive change happen.

We made a submission to the Department of Social Services (DSS) about the Government’s response to the Disability Royal Commission. In our submission, we talked about the gaps in the Final Report of the Disability Royal Commission and what the Government must do to support the rights of parents with an intellectual disability.
