The Australian Government response to the Disability Royal Commission 

The Disability Royal Commission has shared its Final Report. It made 222 recommendations to the Australian Government about how to protect people with disability from violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation.

The Australian Government will now make a plan about:

  • What should change
  • How the government will change things

We made a submission to the Department of Social Services (DSS) about the Government’s response to the Disability Royal Commission. In our submission, we talked about what the Government must do to support the rights of people with an intellectual disability.
