The Australian Government is changing the way employment services work. Employment services try to help people find and keep a job.
Workforce Australia is the main employment services program in Australia. It is different from Disability Employment Services (now called Inclusive Employment Australia). You can find out more about Inclusive Employment Australia by clicking here.
There are many people with disability who must use Workforce Australia if they get a Centrelink payment. This includes some people with an intellectual disability.
We made a submission to the Government’s consultation about the new employment services system.
The Policy Reference Group (PRG) helped us make this submission. The PRG is a group of people with an intellectual disability from around Australia. You can find out more about the PRG by clicking here.
