Planning for what we want and what we might need in the future is hard, but it is important. There might be a time when support needs change, or when families can’t be the main carers anymore.
Having a plan can reduce stress if that change comes suddenly.
Making a plan early means that everyone has time to think about what they want and make choices.
On this page there are different guides and tools to help people with an intellectual disability and their families to plan ahead for the future.
