Effectiveness of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission’s regulatory functions

The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission has an important role in improving quality and safety of NDIS supports for NDIS participants. The Commission can help NDIS participants and their families who feel unsafe or unhappy with services.

The Australian National Audit Office conducted an audit to assess the effectiveness of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission regulatory actions. The purpose is to learn what is working and what is not working, so that the Commission can do its job better, to make sure NDIS participants receive safe and high-quality services.

We made a joint submission with Down Syndrome Australia in response to questions raised in the audit.

You can read the joint submission here (or click below).
