NDIS CALD Strategy

The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is co-designing a new Cultural and Linguistic Diversity (CALD) Strategy and action plan.

The NDIA wants to make sure this strategy meets the needs of people with disability from all cultures and communities.

They invited people to have a say about their new CALD Strategy and giving feedback on an information pack, which you can look at here: https://www.ndis.gov.au/community/have-your-say/co-designing-new-cald-strategy-2023-2027

Inclusion Australia, the National Ethnic Disability Alliance (NEDA) and Down Syndrome Australia made a joint submission of feedback to the information pack.

We made recommendations to make sure the priorities and goals of the Strategy, plus future consultation processes, are accessible and meet the needs of CALD people with an intellectual disability.
